We had yet another business meeting – ah hem – and yes, I am very important. We were looking for a lunch place that’s conducive yet reasonably priced, and discovered Froth. Located in the heart of the Central Business District, this boutique restaurant offers you modern Asian fusion fare with unique creations such as Duck Kut Teh, Seafood Tom Yum Risotto, Siobak Aglio and Taro Waffles.

Each of the four of us went with the lunch set promotion. The first dish was such a delight – and it’s called Pork Rillete. It’s compressed pork designed with pomegranate and comes with a side of homemade multi-grain bread. This is the first time anyone has gone to this extent in making my food look beautiful.

My partner decided to go with the Chilli Crab Pasta, which was linguine served in homemade chilli crab sauce, and topped with soft shell crab and fried mantou. It looks really amazing, and tasted great too.

This was my main course – Soya Kombu Beef Cheeks! The beef cheeks come served with truffle mashed potatoes, confit garlic, Chinese cabbage, mushroom and pine nuts. I was at first drawn to the promise of mashed potato – and was pleasantly surprised by the presentation of the dish. The beef cheeks were super soft, super tender, and very juicy, fresh and delicious. It was such a perfect meal for me.

For dessert, my set menu comes with Toasted Rice Parfait, which comes with furikake crumble, seaweed tuile, Mandarin Orange jelly, yuzu gel, and topped with Sakura green tea foam. Yums!

This is the menu showing my lunch set:

In addition to the set menu, we ordered a Pumpkin Salted Egg Tart to share. It’s beautifully presented and comes complete with caramelised pumpkin puree, pumpkin seeds, and comes topped with homemade coconut ice cream.

It was a perfect lunch for the four of us. Thank you Froth for this wonderful dining experience.
