This health farm is a member of the Kranji Countryside Association. After much huffing and puffing (read: walking), we arrived at the Fireflies Health Farm.

I will never, ever, ever forget this (ridiculously) innocent question by my companion: “Where are the fireflies?”

The answer is no. There weren’t fireflies and I didn’t expect to see fireflies either. Maybe at night? Who knows.

It felt like Mongolia when we walked in further. Tents and tents of carefully planted seedlings, with no one in sight. It was tranquil, albeit buzzing mosquitoes.

I would say it was an eye-opening experience, and I wish there was a guide to explain to us the different stages of agriculture, for instance. Nonetheless, it was still an memorable weekend.
