Volunteers Needed: Buy to Save fundraiser!

The Singapore Committee for UN Women is looking for volunteers to lend a hand during its annual Buy to Save fundraiser! Several positions are now open.

Dates: 26, 27, and 28 October 2017
Venue: Forum The Shopping Mall, Basement 1 Atrium

Buy to Save gathers the best pre-loved designer brands priced to sell for a great cause at an exclusive three-day pop-up sale! All proceeds support Singapore Committee for UN Women’s work to end violence against women in Singapore and the region. Club 21 is the main fashion partner for Buy To Save 2018, with the vast majority of items sold at Buy To Save collected through Club 21’s Style It Forward initiative throughout the year.

Eighty per cent of net proceeds from Buy to Save will fund the Singapore Committee for UN Women’s local initiatives to end violence against women and girls in Singapore.

This year, twenty per cent of proceeds will also support Singapore Committee for UN Women’s humanitarian efforts to build safe spaces for refugees in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh, half of whom are women and girls. The Singapore Committee for UN Women aims to establish Multi-purpose Women’s Centres (MPWCs) to provide safe spaces for the most vulnerable, neglected and marginalised women, reduce health and physical risks through safe and improved facilities, and provide support for livelihood and income-generating opportunities through skills training.

If you’re free on those days and wish to support a good cause, do sign up as a volunteer at this link!
