5 Events Not To Miss This Weekend (16 & 17 March 2019)

1. All Hail Patricks

“It’s tough not being a Pat, we hear you,” says Guinness. But fret not! Whether you’re Patrick, any other Pat, or not a Pat, this year’s St. Patrick’s Festival by Guinness has a month of awesome stuff in store.

If you’ve missed all the All Hail Patricks events (which started from as early as March 1), put on your best green attire and head to Maxwell Road on March 16 from 1pm to 10pm. There are plenty of booze, bites, and tunes and entry is FREE. RSVP at get.guinness.com to unlock special perks!

2. Made by Women

This International Women’s Day, join emerging creators and makers with fresh perspectives in inspiring hands-on sessions that will unlock your creativity! Organised by Apple, be inspired by the amazing stories of 10 superwomen (or more) at this event and pick up new photography skills from portrait photographer Kelly Fan on March 16 (4pm-6pm). If you’re in love with all things fashion, find out how you can start your very own label with Stolen’s Elyn Wong on March 17 (4pm-6pm)!

3. Tourist

Love dance tracks? London-based songwriter and electronic musician William Phillips initially made a splash in 2010, when he was using the moniker Little Loud. If you don’t know him, Phillips co-wrote Sam Smith’s smash hit “Stay with Me”! Catch the live set this Saturday at 9pm.

4. SCAPE Radikal Forze Jam (RFJam) 2019

This event name may be a mouthful but it’s certainly the dance event of the year. From intense international Breakin’ and All-Styles Street Dance Battles to workshops by renowned legendary artistes, but soak up the love of dance at RFJam, where dance communities around the world not just compete against each other, but build bridges, party, & have fun doing what they love doing.

5. Singapore Design Week

This year’s edition of Singapore Design Week (SDW) is fast coming to an end! As one of Asia’s premier design festivals, SDW champions design thought leadership by bringing together the design, business and public policy worlds to bring about innovation and solutions to build businesses, engage communities and enrich people’s lives. The results were revealed at a finale held at Clarke Quay Fountain Square, where fans counted down to the number one song with the ONE FM 91.3 crew.

This is an annual countdown event! This year, the countdown drew 4,000 nominated songs and more than 130,000 votes!
